Needles? For your face? Yes, that is correct…and the outcome can be well worth it. As many of us grew up with the familiar phrase “beauty is pain,” we typically attribute those small discomforts to too-high-heels and the occasional, accidental burn from hair appliances. With tiny “micro” needles sticking out from a small, one-inch roller, microneedling is the latest beauty fad right now. However, its popularity isn’t just from its obscurity — it actually works. Even skincare professionals have utilized this out-of-the ordinary trend and have also begun offering versions of it as in-office treatments.

The difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and the brand new Jeuveau…

The has been a lot of buzz in the aesthetic industry about the brand new neurotoxin, Jeuveau! Allergan is alleging a previous employee stole the top secret formula for Botox and sold it to the creators of Jeuveau, Evolus. That may all be internet gossip or it could be true . Regardless, the days of Botox being the only branded industry leader are coming to an end. Jeuveau is making a huge splash in the market and Dysport continues to increase direct to consumer awareness. The efficacy of Botox, Dysport, and Jeuveau in clinical studies are all very similar. There is another player currently in clinical studies that should be a huge contender for the aesthetic market. That contender is Revance’s RT002-A and their preliminary studies suggest a longer half life of the product. This would create a huge advantage in a saturated market.

Now back to the current topic….

The main difference between all these neurotoxins is a slight variance in protein structure. We know all these bind to the protein receptor, synaptic vesicle protein 2. This shuts the communication from the motor nerve to the muscle down, thus paralyzing the muscle. The variation in protein structure does not include variation in the binding portion of the protein, only in the rest of the structure. Theoretically, it makes sense that the rest of the structure could affect longevity. It also makes sense that my immune system may create antibodies to the protein of one or the other more efficiently, therefor making that product less effective in me.

At the end of the day, the most important decision a patient makes is who they allow to inject them. All of these products work, placement and dosing is the key to natural results that last an appropriate amount of time. Having a neurotoxin administered is a cosmetic procedure according to the Texas Medical Board. It is advisable to only allow a doctor or mid level (nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant) to perform your Botox, Dysport, or any other neurotoxin. It is highly unlikely that you could experience a permanent issue from a neurotoxin, but dermal fillers are a very different story and that is a another blog post for another day! Botox takes about 3 months to wear off. That is a long time if you have bad placement, heavy brows, or a dropped eyelid. I would heavily advise that you not allow an esthetician to inject you. My malpractice insurance won’t even cover me to delegate to an esthetician!! What that means to you is that if you have a bad outcome and an esthetician injected you, you may not be able to create a malpractice claim to have your damages covered or get the care you need to properly heal. It’s always best to safeguard yourself even if a bad outcome is unlikely.

You may not have to confront it every single day like you would a breakout on your face, but back acne—or bacne—still remains one of the more frustrating skin issues.

Laser Hair Removal Austin

With so many medical options out there, it could really feel overwhelming while you select your Medical Spa or Botox doctor.

Safety
In the beginning, safety ought to be your primary driving power and results needs to be an in depth second. It is all the time good to test opinions to offer you an idea how the business treats their clients and you could get some data on their outcomes. Nevertheless, critiques cannot provide you with plenty of information about safety. It is imperative that you simply see a physician during or earlier than your treatment. Medical spa therapies are medical procedures and needs to be directly supervised by a physician. Within the State of Texas, it is the regulation that a medical spa must be owned by a doctor. This is not effectively enforced and lots of break the law with out a lot consequence. It is always a good suggestion to maintain your self secure in a doctor’s office.

Now let’s go over the biggest purpose that you must be in a doctor’s care. Your threat of main complication will be lower. In addition, in the occasion of a complication, a health care provider is readily available. I can guarantee you an aesthetician is not going to seemingly know how one can deal with an embolized (blocked) artery in a well timed fashion. Time is of the essence when you have got an arterial occlusion from dermal fillers. The prognosis needs to be made shortly and the remedy should be rendered in minutes. With out a physician’s input, this would be a stretch. It is all the time great when the physician is readily available. Typically insurance policies and procedures are in place at a doctor’s workplace that may shield you within the event of a foul outcome.

At present, at Rejuvenate Austin, I do all of the Dermal Fillers. I'm very aware of the indicators and symptoms of arterial occlusion, among other diagnoses that need to be made quickly. I think it's fabulous if you happen to can have a doctor do your injections. Many nurses do great injections as well, however just make certain the physician is shut by.

Consultations
After weeding out the unsafe options, it is time to choose the medical spa that's the greatest fit in your needs. Go to several consultations before you choose until you might be wowed proper at the beginning. Everyone has a special thought of what aesthetic is beautiful and appropriate. Some like loads of Botox and dermal fillers, others like a extra pure look. Although there isn't a flawed method, I'm very partial to natural looking results. I would slightly your pals not know what you had done. I want them to say “Wow! You look nice… Are you resting extra?” It's best to look a better version of yourself or a youthful model of yourself. This is entirely my opinion.

I'll by no means judge somebody who wants to alter their face drastically, BUT I will probably refer you on to a different office that is heavier handed. I think it is vitally vital to mesh along with your physician and have related style on your aesthetic. Beauty is within the eye of the beholder and our relationship (or your potential relationship along with your doctor) is so much easier if we agree on the specified outcome. If the employees appears to be like overfilled or unusual, you would possibly need to reconsider.

Equipment & Expertise
The next thing to look at is the technology accessible to your treatments. Are the lasers the most recent and leading edge on the market. You'll pay a tad extra for the next efficiency laser, but you're going to get more bang on your buck. I at present have the Cynosure Vectus for hair removing and I haven’t regretted spending the additional money on that child once. The treatments are faster, less painful, and extra effective. Which means you'll return to my office for more treatments. I've two Cutera Lasers for rejuvenation and vascular lesions. I've three options for Microneedling. I carry virtually each filler. If a physician really invests in her enterprise, she's going to invest in your beauty and skin. Also, not every person is finest fitted to a person laser. It's great to have a number of options to create a very personalized skincare plan.

One other wonderful investment I made in my practice was buying three Coolsculpting devices. What does that mean to you? Faster treatments, couples remedies, and extra scheduling options. We will treat three areas without delay! That gets you out the door and back to life 3 times faster. When choosing a Coolsculpting supplier, make sure that the particular person doing the treatment has attended a Coolsculpting University and verify those critiques!

Critiques
Even though earlier I mentioned that reviews can not provide you with a lot of details about safety, I do really feel they're an excellent indication of shoppers’ experiences a few explicit Med Spa. It’s unrealistic to expect a Spa to by no means have a foul evaluation, however the majority of evaluations on Yelp, Fb and Google must be very positive. Even with dangerous opinions, it’s good to see if and how the Med Spa responded.
